These six silver teaspoons date from the George V period, specifically hallmarked for Sheffield 1924 with maker's marks for JD&S, and are made of sterling silver with a bright silver finish. Each spoon displays a teardrop bowl, a twisted stem, and a shell motif terminal at the handle, with the set free from visible dings, splits, distortions, or repairs. The spoons measure approximately 10.3 cm long with a combined weight of 51 grams. This practical set serves well in a traditional or period dining room, displayed on a sideboard top or used for afternoon tea service. The individual teaspoons are proportioned for domestic hospitality use when hosting guests at home.

George V sterling silver cutlery produced during the 1920s often combines traditional decorative motifs, such as twisted stems or shell terminals, with refined proportions characteristic of the early interwar period.

British silver manufactured in 1924 adhered to the sterling standard, comprising 92.5 percent pure silver alloyed with 7.5 percent copper for enhanced structural strength.

Authentic British pieces feature official assay hallmarks, including the lion passant mark indicating sterling purity, an assay office mark, a makers mark, and a date letter corresponding to 1924.

Vintage silver spoons can be presented alongside modern porcelain teaware, displayed on a tray upon a sideboard, or utilized as serving implements for espresso and small desserts.

Sterling silver should be washed in warm water with a mild detergent using a soft cloth, dried thoroughly immediately after washing, and polished periodically with a gentle silver cream to minimize tarnish.
