A Georgian silver toddy ladle is a specialised serving utensil popular during the 18th and early 19th centuries, designed for pouring hot punch, toddy, or spirits into individual glasses.

These ladles typically feature a sterling silver bowl fitted to a long, flexible handle crafted from twisted whalebone, horn, or turned wood, often capped with a silver finial.

Authentic examples feature hallmarks on the rim or base of the silver bowl, hand-hammered or chased metalwork, and traditional twisted bone or wood handles joined with silver sockets.

It can be displayed on a dining sideboard, integrated into a home bar setup beside crystal decanters, or mounted in a shadow box display.

Gently polish the silver bowl with a specialised silver polishing cloth, avoiding abrasive chemicals, and keep the organic handle completely dry to prevent warping or cracking.
