Vintage 1.77 Carat Unheated Ruby & Diamond Cluster Ring, Circa 1965

Description

A fine vintage ruby and diamond cluster ring, set with a natural and unheated Mozambique ruby. The oval cut centre stone has a rich deep red, and is surrounded by 14 high white eight-cut diamonds in a coronet cluster setting, leading to a slim and tapering yellow gold shank. The ring dates to the second half of the 20th century, with the Mozambique ruby likely to have been set at a later date.

Accompanied by a report from GemResearch SwissLab (GRS) stating the ruby is unheated and originates from Mozambique.

Cut:  Oval cut ruby and eight-cut diamonds.

Colour:  The diamond are G to H.

Clarity:  The ruby is eye-clean. The diamonds are VS1 to SI1.

Carat:  The ruby is 1.77 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.60 carat.

Circa:  1965.

Size:  L 1/2 (UK) or 5 7/8 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements:  The ruby is 8.49 x 6.17mm. The head of the ring is 14.3 x 11.4mm and sits 6.8mm from the finger.

Weight:  4.11 grams.

Metal:  18k yellow gold. Tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer.
