Vintage 0.50 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, Circa 1930

Description

A beautiful and refined Art Deco diamond engagement ring. The old mine cut diamond in the centre is held in a four claw collet, with an open "U" gallery. The tapering shoulders are set with six (three each side) eight-cut diamonds, leading to a slender platinum shank.

Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from WGI.

Cut:  Old mine cut in the centre (with eight-cuts in the shoulders).

Colour:  J in the centre (the diamonds in the shoulders range between G and H).

Clarity:  VS2 in the centre (the diamonds in the shoulders range between VS1 to VS2).

Carat:  0.50 carat in the centre (with a further approximate 0.03 carat in the shoulders).

Circa:  1930.

Size:  J 1/2 (UK) or 5 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements:  The principle diamond is 4.96 x 4.68mm. Sits 5.1mm from the finger.

Weight:  2.10 grams.

Metal:  Platinum. Tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer.
