Vintage 0.86 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, Circa 1930

1920 - 1940
Description

A charming and characterful Art Deco diamond ring, crafted in platinum. The ring is centred by a beautifully wonky old mine cut diamond which displays a soft, warm glow. The stone is secured by eight-claws above a scalloped back-plate, between intricately crafted shoulders set with a further six (three each side) eight-cut diamonds, to a D-shaped shank.

Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from WGI.

Cut:  Old mine cut in the centre and eight-cuts in the shoulders.

Colour:  The centre is N. The diamonds in the shoulders range between H and I.

Clarity:  The centre is VS1. The diamonds in the shoulders range between VS2 and SI1.

Carat:  The centre is 0.86 carat, with a further approximate 0.10 carat in the shoulders.

Circa:  1930.

Size:  L (UK) or 5 1/2 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements:  The centre diamond is 5.20 x 5.12mm. Sits 6.2mm from the finger.

Weight:  3.66 grams.

Metal:  Stamped PLAT, indicating platinum, and tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer to confirm.
