This Danish solid sterling silver spoon originates from the Arts & Crafts period, specifically dating to 1931. The piece displays a bright silver tone with a polished finish and bears official Georg Jensen marks alongside London import hallmarks. The design incorporates a distinctive curved loop handle decorated with beaded ornamentation at the end, a smooth shank, and a shallow oval bowl featuring a hand-hammered surface texture. It measures 13.4 cm in length by 3.8 cm in width and weighs 30 grams. The item serves as an elegant display piece on a sideboard top in a contemporary dining room or living space. Collectors of early twentieth-century silver tableware will find it a practical addition for special occasions or as a decorative display object.

Arts and Crafts silver is defined by a reaction against industrial mass production, featuring organic forms, hand-hammered surfaces, and visible metalworking details inspired by nature and historic craftsmanship.

Pieces were primarily fashioned from sterling silver, stamped with purity marks such as 925S, and often decorated with hand-chased beads, scrolled silver wire, or cabochon semi-precious gemstones.

Authentic pieces carry specific makers marks, including variations of the Jensen oval or dotted logo, sterling purity marks, designer initials, and model or pattern numbers stamped directly into the silver.

Small silver serving pieces can be styled as functional accents on a sideboard tray, incorporated into framed wall displays, or presented within open glass cabinetry alongside contemporary ceramics.

Silver should be gently washed in warm soapy water and polished with a soft cotton cloth using specialised silver cream, avoiding harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that strip natural patination.
