Superb German Solid Silver Figural Cherub Scenes Box C1900 Antique

1900 - 1920
Description

A beautiful German solid silver snuff or trinket box. It is hallmarked with the German crescent moon and crown mark along with the 800 standard mark and the makers mark of Simon Rosenau. I would date it to c1900. It has been beautifully made being embossed with cherub scenes. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, the inside is clean and the hinge is strong. It measures approx. 2 inches (5.1cm) across by 1.5cms tall and weighs 34 grams. A beautiful piece.
