Exquisite Edwardian Silver Swan Pin Cushion by the Boots Company, Birmingham 1908

Description

This delightful Edwardian silver swan pin cushion bears the marks of The Boots Pure Drug Company and is dated Birmingham 1908. The body with detailed plumage rests on an oval silver base. The eyes inset with red glass stones, a rare and exquisite detail. The original cushion finished in matching red velvet. The underside with the original black felt.

Hallmarks:

BPDC for the Boots Pure Drug Company.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "i" for 1908.

Condition:

Very good.

Very clear hallmarks.

Cushion in good condition.

Main body in excellent condition.

Top of the swan's head with minor dent, reflected in the p[rice.

Height: 2.5cm / 1 inch.
