18ct Gold & Platinum Late Victorian Ruby and Old Cut Diamond Ring, C.1900. The ring is set with a central oval old mined cut ruby approx (0.20ct), with 2 x (10 point) old mined cut rubies set on the end of the ring face, totalling (0.40ct). The rubies have a stunning red/purply hue and the colour has excellent and vivid saturation, likely Burmese in origin. In-between the rubies is a cluster of old mined cut diamonds (5 points) each, totalling (0.20ct). All the stones are set in Platinum. The ring is faintly marked for 18ct gold and has been fully tested for 18ct gold and platinum.. The face of the ring measures 1.7cm in width and 0.4cm in length and the ring weighs 2.1 grams. The ring is a size J 1/2 and can be easily resized. The ring is in excellent condition.
