Mary Gregory glassware is characterised by silhouette enamel painting, typically in white, depicting Victorian children amidst natural foliage.

These pieces feature mould-blown or free-blown coloured glass adorned with hand-painted white vitreous enamel, frequently fitted with hallmarked sterling silver or plated screw caps.

Authentic items display raised, slightly chalky white enamel with gentle wear appropriate to age, combined with period-accurate silver mounts and hand-finished pontil marks on the base.

Display the bottle on a mirrored vanity tray, dressing table shelf, or within a glass-fronted cabinet to catch and reflect light through the coloured glass.

Clean the glass gently using a soft, damp cloth, avoiding abrasive chemicals that might damage the enamel, and polish the silver mounts sparingly with a specialised non-abrasive cloth.
