£1,950    $2,609    €2,283
An exceptional George III period mahogany bureau bookcase dating to circa 1760, a superb example of eighteenth-century English cabinet making that combines elegance, practicality and enduring investment appeal.

Crafted from richly figured solid mahogany of excellent colour and patination, the upper section is fitted with a pair of beautifully shaped glazed doors retaining their distinctive Georgian character. The doors open to reveal an adjustable shelved interior, ideal for displaying books, leather-bound volumes, porcelain or treasured collections.

The bureau section features a wonderfully proportioned fall-front writing surface which opens to reveal a finely fitted interior incorporating an arrangement of drawers, pigeonholes and a central cupboard, demonstrating the quality and craftsmanship associated with the finest Georgian furniture.
