Philip Hunt Antiques has dated this Georgian Mahogany Bureau Bookcase to the 1800s.

The fall front opens to reveal a beautifully fitted interior comprising a central cupboard door, oak-lined drawers and pigeonholes, together with a replacement green leather writing surface, finished with hand-applied gilt and blind tooling.

Above, the two astragal-glazed doors open to reveal a generous arrangement of adjustable shelving, ideal for displaying books and treasured objects. The bookcase is finished with a handsome dentil-moulded cornice, adding to its classic Georgian character.
The bookcase comes in two sections for ease of transportation and installation and is presented in good condition.
