Louis XVI Caryatid Candlesticks After Dugourc

A very fine rare pair of elegant French late 18th/early 19th century patinated Louis XVI/Directoire gilt bronze ormolu and white marble triple caryatid candlesticks in the manner of Jean-Demosthene Dugourc (1749-1825). Elegant acanthus leaf style gilt bronze candle cups sit atop three patinated classical female caryatids standing upon white marble columns with delicate gilt bronze ormolu tassled chains and banded mounts. Finely detailed, very decorative, rare examples. France, circa 1800.
