Art Deco Walnut and Sycamore Desk with Integrated Lamp

1920 - 1940
Description

An outstanding and extremely rare Art Deco walnut and sycamore desk with integrated lamp. This was made in England, it dates from the 1930’s.

This is of amazing quality and has a beautiful, useful and unique design. It is fairly petite and has built in fully wired integrated lamp stand that comes out from the desk top. The desk top also has a black leather writing surface and sunken pigeon hole at the back. There is a single drawer with fine, hand cut dovetailed joints and this has a polished back, so can be used as a free standing item.

We have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the lamp is in good working order and we have paired it with an off white pleated shade. The condition is superb throughout.

Height – 119 cm , 47 inches

Desk height – 76 cm , 30 inches

Knee height – 64 cm , 25.5 inches
