This is a delightful and truly honest piece
 
Manufactured by SB&SLtd namely
 
S Blackensbee manufacturers originally registered in 1892, much of their work was hallmarked in the main in Birmingham and Chester,
 
However the hallmark on the reverse of the brooch is clearly for 1900 and the London Assay office.
 
The sharp reposes female profile is bordered by blue guilloche enamel.
 
The enamel is in overall very good condition … with some minor rim nibbles
 
Approx 3cm diameter
 
The overall quality of this genuine “Art Nouveau” piece is exceptional and a rare find
