Vintage 0.68 Carat Ruby & Old Cut Diamond Three Stone Ring, Circa 1960

Description

A wonderfully pretty vintage ruby and diamond three stone ring. The long cushion shaped ruby in the centre is a bright, deep red. The stone is rubover set in 18k yellow gold and flanked by a pair of 0.15 carat (approx.) old European cut diamond in platinum rubover settings. On a slim 18k yellow gold shank, with distinctive shoulders.

Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from WGI.

Cut:  Long cushion cut ruby and old European cut diamonds.

Colour:  The diamond are H and I.

Clarity:  The ruby is eye-clean. The diamonds are SI1 and SI2 (also eye-clean).

Carat:  The ruby is approximately 0.68 carat. The total diamond weight is approximately 0.30 carat.

Circa:  1960.

Size:  N 1/2 (UK) or 6 3/4 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements:  The ruby is 6.09 x 4.80mm. The the outer edge on one diamond to the other is 12.8mm. Sits 5.6mm from the finger.

Weight:  3.72 grams.

Metal:  18k yellow gold. The diamonds are set in platinum. Tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer.
