Description

A pretty antique Art Nouveau brooch in 18-carat gold in a stylised butterfly shape typical of the period. Set with an opal and a ruby with a tiny dangling seed pearl beneath. The gold has a lovely silky satin finish and the rich colour typical of higher-carat gold.

SIZE: 3.5 x 2.2cm.

WEIGHT: 2.0g.

MATERIALS: 18-carat gold, silver, opal, ruby, pearl.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: Stamped 18CT on the back.

CONDITION: In good antique condition with minor surface wear appropriate to a piece of this age.
