A Superb Quality Robert Garrard Georgian Silver String Box

This superb small table string box is a rare and desirable item of Georgian silver. The hinged lid has an aperture for the string to emerge though and a swivel panel to close it off. The body is of cylindrical form, with a reeded border, echoed on the lid. Silver string boxes are always in demand, due to their scarcity and this is a superior quality example. Made by the great Robert Garrard I, this is a wonderful, decorative and practical piece. Dimensions below.
