Holmes Antiques has dated this Georgian Mahogany Bureau Cabinet to the 18th Century.
The cabinet interior below fitted with pigeonholes, drawers and central concave door with carved giltwood shell, the fall front interior with shaped freeze and drawers with further central door flanked with pilasters having gilt brass capitals and base. The ogee bracket feet are original, the handles old replacements.

It is interesting to see the old paper labels attached above the pigeonholes which suggests that the estate affairs were managed from this desk.
