THIS IS A VERY BEAUTIFUL AND EARLY AFSHAR WEAVING DATING TO THE THIRD QUARTER OF THE 19TH CENTURY (1850-75).
 
HAS THIS STRIKING ROYAL BLUE COLOURED GROUND WITH FOUR SHRUB-LIKE CROWNED DEVICES. THIS IS A DOCUMENTED PATTERN SEEN IN THE LAST FEW IMAGES THAT EXAMPLE BEING ON AN IVORY COLOURED GROUND. I HAVE SEEN TWO OTHERS IN THE PAST BOTH BEING ON IVORY COLOURED GROUNDS.
 
HAS ALL OVER EVEN PILE. SIDES GOOD AND ENDS ARE EVEN AND STOPPED.
 
IT IS A SCARCE COLLECTORS EXAMPLE OF AFSHAR WEAVING AND WOULD LOOK EQUALLY GOOD HUNG FROM A WALL.
 
4 FOOT 9 INCHES BY 3 FOOT 11 INCHES. 145CM X 120CM. AT WIDEST POINTS. FINE WOOL FRINGES NOT MEASURED IN SIZE.
