Description

Size: 6ft 3in x 4ft 4in (190 x 133cm).

Antique south west Persian Qashqai tribal rug of small size.

Circa 1900.

A good Qashqai rug with a single medallion containing the Qashqai emblem on an ivory coloured ground. The indigo blue field is covered with flowers, leaves and other tribal designs; the madder red corners are filled with small animals and a large peacock displaying its tail, the border is of the traditional star design.

The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.

Hand washed and ready for use.
