Very Rare Irish Provincial Silver Oyster Fork

A very rare item of antique silver flatware, that appears to have been primarily made and Assayed in Ireland. This charming piece is an oyster fork. Often mistaken for a child's piece due to it's smaller proportions, this lovely example is in fiddle pattern and has a fine crest engraved to the top reverse of the shank. Marked only 'Sterling' this indicates origins in Cork or Limerick. A wpnderful collector's piece with a practical use. Dimensions below.
