Vicky Thomas Antiques has dated these Chinoiserie Brass Candle Sconces to the Edwardian era.

Whilst the sconces are undoubtedly European in origin ( indeed probably English ), the brass is decorated with Chinese scenes and imagery - birds flutter overhead as ships sail lazily on a river as flowers and trees bloom in abundance. When lit, the brass will gleam and the candle light will be enhanced, reflected in the mirrors beautifully.

The sconces measure 33cm by 33cm, with a 2.5cm hanging loop to the top and are in good order. They have the gentle surface wear to be expected of items of this age, with some age related marks to the fabric on the reverse (obviously unseen when mounted on the wall) , the mirrors showing foxing which personally I think enhances their beauty and character - please take a look at the photographs to see if this is for you, and if you have any questions at all or would like further photographs, please don't hesitate to contact me.
I offer free delivery to mainland UK, and am very happy to help with quotes for shipping abroad.
