This eighteenth-century Georgian table lamp takes the form of an antique blue and white Delft vase and cover mounted on a turned hardwood base and fitted with brass lamp hardware. The tin-glazed earthenware body displays a cobalt blue floral decoration, a baluster vase form, and a domed lid mount. The hand-painted botanical motifs show large blossoms and delicate leafy sprays wrapping around the curved ceramic surface. A warm mid-brown grain runs through the circular wooden stand beneath the vessel, while polished metallic brass components top the domed cover.
