A beautiful rare hand made English solid sterling silver quaich cup or two handled bowl. It is hallmarked for London 1936 with the maker being R E Stone along with Asprey & Co Ltd mark. It has been superbly designed being planished and made to mark the Coronation of Edward VIII who of course abdicated before his coronation. It is in superb condition having no dings splits or repairs. It measures approx. 5 inches (12.6cm) across including the handles and 3.25 inches (8cm) excluding them by almost 1 inch (2.4cm) tall and weighs 72 grams. A stunning example.
