We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Named after Prince Albert, these chains were originally designed to secure pocket watches to a gentlemans waistcoat, featuring a T-bar and swivel clasp that are frequently adapted into modern necklaces.

Edwardian Albert chains were predominantly crafted from solid karat gold, including rose gold and yellow gold, as well as sterling silver or rolled gold, with uniform curb or trombone links.

Authentic pieces typically feature historical UK hallmarks stamped on individual links, the T-bar, or the swivel clasp, indicating gold purity such as 9ct or 15ct along with maker marks.

These versatile chains are commonly worn layered with contemporary gold necklaces or as standalone focal pieces, with the T-bar positioned prominently at the centre.

Clean gently using a soft-bristled brush, mild soap, and warm water, taking care to dry completely to prevent moisture accumulation in the swivel mechanisms and link joints.
