The World is Made of Glass Ltd. has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
The glass is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to the rim of the foot commensurate with some 250 years of use. It has a rough pontil mark on the underside of the foot.
The glass has an extended rounded funnel-shaped bowl measuring 6.5 cm (2.6 inches) in diameter at the gilded rim. The bowl is beautifully gilded with hop flowers and barley ears and sits on a double series opaque twist stem consisting of thirteen white enamel "cotton" strands wound around a central twist of two white enamel cords. The stem ends in a conical foot which measures 8.1 cm (3.2 inches) in diameter. The glass is 20.7 cm (8.2 inches) in height.
There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration.
Lead glass weighing in at 220 g. (~ 8 oz.).
