A charming and rather sweet early 18th century solid oak coffer, of small / medium proportions.
c1700.
Lovely richly carved two panelled front, and sides.
Carved embellishment to the edges of the lift up top, opening to reveal a storage area.

Having particularly lovely rich figuring to the oak, with an abundance of medullary rays. These are golden ribbon like markings which almost shimmer. These are very visible on the two front panels and stiles. Showing excellent quality oak and craftsmanship used in the construction of this charming coffer.

In excellent antique condition.
Replacement hinges and lock.
Very solid sturdy and strong.
