An attractive Edwardian mahogany piano stool with raised back and shaped arms. The upholstered hinged seat lifts open to a finished storage compartment while the front is finished with a transfer-applied decorative border, all raised on square legs.
Intended for use at a piano with under-seat storage for sheet music, it now works beautifully as a dressing table stool, hall seat or occasional stool with useful storage.
Very good antique condition with minor surface wear consistent with age. The upholstery is attractive and serviceable, with some wear to the trim in places as shown. Structurally sound, clean and ready to place.
