In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

Late 19th-century scent bottles from Bohemia are characterised by heavy crystal cutting, vibrant overlay colours like Bristol blue, and intricate metalwork caps, reflecting the periods fascination with ornate vanity accessories.

These pieces were typically crafted using mouth-blown coloured glass encased in clear crystal or vice versa, then wheel-cut to reveal contrasting layers, and finished with hallmarked sterling silver or plated mounts.

Authentic pieces exhibit hand-cut facets with minor irregularities, polished pontil marks on the base, heavy lead crystal weight, and secure metal collars often featuring period hallmark stamps or makers marks.

These small decorative objects can be displayed on mirrored trays, dressing table surfaces, or open shelving units to introduce points of saturated colour and historical craftsmanship into a room.

Clean the glass gently using a soft, damp cloth with mild detergent, avoiding harsh abrasives that could damage the cut surfaces, and use a specialist non-abrasive cloth for any silver metal components.
