Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Originating between 1830 and 1837, William IV furniture represents a transition from British Regency to early Victorian styles. It is distinguished by robust proportions, bold turned legs, reeded carvings, and rich dark woods like mahogany and rosewood.

19th-century footstools were typically constructed with solid mahogany, oak, or walnut frames featuring hand-turned legs and stretchers. The upholstery utilised natural fibres such as wool tapestry, hair stuffing, and woven textiles.

Authentic William IV pieces feature heavy turned legs, carved reeding or lotus leaf motifs, and hand-joined timber construction. Look for original mortise and tenon joints, natural patination on dark timber, and central stretcher finials.

An antique upholstered stool serves as a versatile accent piece when placed at the foot of a bed, beneath a console, or in front of a sofa. Its geometric textile pattern adds warmth and texture to both contemporary and traditional living spaces.

Keep mahogany timber dusted with a soft cloth and apply beeswax periodically to preserve the natural lustre, avoiding direct sunlight. Dust the fabric upholstery gently using a low-suction vacuum attachment.
