Antique Silver Early Victorian Snuff Box Francis Clark Birmingham 1839

Description

An early Victorian Sterling Silver Snuff box by Francis Clark, Birmingham 1839.

Beautifully criss cross engine turning on both sides, the hinged cover opens to reveal a gilt interior. A vacant shield shaped central cartouche.

Measuring 5 cm x 3 cm x 1 cm and weighs 21.4 grams.

In very good antique condition overall, the hallmarks are very good, there are a few dings/dents and surface scratches, gilding faded with time, usual signs of wear all commensurate of age and use.
