Pair of Elizabeth II Silver Partridges Grouse by Edward Barnard

1940 - 1960
Description

A very handsome pair of Elizabeth II sterling silver models of partridges / grouse realistically cast with fine feathered detailing and attractive glass eyes.

Hallmarked London by the prestigious Edward Barnard & Sons who are perhaps best known for being commissioned by Queen Victoria to make a silver gilt baptismal font, known as the Lily Font, for the baptism of her first child Victoria, Princess Royal in 1841. The Lily Font being still used at the baptisms of members of the British Royal Family.
