Lovely Small Georgian Silver Sauce Boat 1771 Walter Brind

A lovely 18th century silver sauce boat, set on three stylised hoof feet with foliate shaped terminals, with a card cut rim and a flying C-scroll handle with cast acanthus leaf thumb rest. Of small size, perfect for individual use or a good size for use as a cream boat. Hallmarked for London 1771, maker Walter Brind.
 
It measures 12.1cm (4 3/4'') long, 6.7cm (2 5/8'') wide and 8.3cm (3 1/8'') high to the handle. It weighs 103g / 3.3ozt and has a sensible capacity of 75ml (just under 3 fluid ounces).
 
In excellent condition with no damage, dents or repairs. A tiny manufacturing fault to one of the leg terminals. Very light handling wear, the hallmarks are clear. It is unengraved.
