A large and imposing Italian Florentine antique giltwood standard lamp. Originally a mid 19th Century C1850 pricket candle stick and converted to electricity, The ornate carved central column with scalloped bulbous top and tripart base. Fully rewired and PAT tested with foot switch.

This large nineteenth-century Italian Florentine standard lamp originates from a mid nineteenth-century pricket candlestick, later converted to electricity and fully rewired with a foot switch. Modelled in a Florentine Baroque style, the piece is constructed from carved wood and gesso with an aged gold and dark brown patinated gilt finish displaying distressed wear. The tall design incorporates a turned column, acanthus leaf motifs, a scalloped bulbous top, and a scrolled tripod base.
