Modernist Scandinavian jewellery emerged in the mid-20th century, characterised by abstract geometric shapes, organic textures, and a focus on craftsmanship over ostentatious gemstones.

Traditional pieces typically utilise sterling silver, often featuring hand-hammered or textured finishes, paired with natural gemstones such as amethyst, amber, or quartz.

Authentic pieces usually bear makers marks, city hallmarks, and purity stamps such as 925S or Sterling Denmark, along with distinctive artisan craftsmanship.

This type of piece acts as an artistic focal point, pairing well with minimalist monochrome outfits or layered with complementary silver chains for an eclectic look.

Store silver in a dry, tarnish-resistant pouch and clean gently with a soft microfibre cloth, avoiding harsh chemical dips that can damage softer stones like amethyst.
