The World is Made of Glass Ltd. has dated this piece to the 1800s.
The jug is in excellent condition for its age.
It has a rough pontil mark on the underside of the base.

The jug has a baluster-shaped bowl measuring 6 cm (2.4 inches) in diameter at the pouring rim. The bowl is plain but the pouring rim is enhanced with applied blue glass. The jug is 9.5 cm (3.8 inches) across at its widest point (pouring spout to outside of the handle) and is 9.5 cm (3.8 inches) in height. The bowl sits on a conical and folded foot that measures 6 cm (2.4 inches) in diameter. The handle was first applied to the top of the bowl and then finished off at the bottom of the bowl with a flattened curlicue. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any other obvious evidence of restoration. There is a collector's sticker to the base.
A pretty, period jug weighing in at 160 g. (~ 6 oz.).
