A 19th century engraved and gilded glass vase dating to c1880.

Beautiful engraved and gilded flowers with fern swags and geometric bands, around a gilded rim. Polished pontil with engraved and gilded flowers.

A rather delightful piece of glass, influenced by the Spanish La Granja glassworks of the 18th century, by the late 19th century the style was being copied in both England, France and Bohemia.
