Krave Antiques has dated this Victorian Leather Whisky Case to the 1900s.
This handsome case is made of thick dark tan leather which is monogrammed with an R to the front, has a long shoulder strap, top carrying handle and a brass lock which can be opened and locked using the key.
These bottles are made of beautiful old green glass which show their bubbles and swirls from manufacture, are square in shape and are marked to the bottoms with Walkers, Kilmarnock Whisky and with their batch numbers. These fit snugly and safely inside the leather case which has an inner partition to keep the bottles separate.

Walkers is now known as Jonnie Walker changing their name in the early 1900's and were one of the first square bottle manufacturers as they took up less space for importing.
The brass lock is inscribed with R.A. Robertson. Kirklands. Gogar Station.

RA Robertson was a prominent mountaineer / Alpinist, the President of the Scottish Mountaineering club Journal in 1897 and an early member of The Alpine Journal.
A very nice quality antique piece that would make a wonderful collector's piece for a climbing / mountaineering enthusiast or whisky collector.
