Georgian Oak Chest with Fitted Interior.

Description

An unusual Geo III oak countryhouse chest , the top with its original hinges opening to reveal an interior with candle box and various compartments , original brass keyhole escutcheon and lock, standing on square legs. A useful piece of furniture that is only 69 cm tall, could easily go freestanding and be used as a coffee table and receptacle to tidy things away ! Good colour and patina , in original condition. English Circa 1760.
