The side of the shoulder is ornamented with a contemporary engraved crest of a bird.

This Victorian silver scent flask retains the original compressed circular screw fit cover, ornamented with further wrythen fluted decoration.
The cover opens to reveal the original gilding and glass stopper.

The rim to the interior bears the retailer's mark 'Thornhill & Co, Bond St. W'.
