Description

This is a stunning antique Gorham sterling silver bowl, beautifully engraved both inside and out with an elegant leaf and strawberry motif. Made in 1880, as indicated by the Gorham date mark “M,” this piece reflects the craftsmanship and detail that defined Gorham’s 19th-century silverwork.

• Maker: Gorham Manufacturing Co. (Providence, RI)

• Date: 1880 (Date mark “M”)

• Material: Solid Sterling Silver (.925)

• Design: Hand-engraved leaf and strawberry pattern – interior and exterior

• Weight: Approx. 475 grams (15.27 troy oz)

• Dimensions: Approx. 22 cm diameter × 8 cm height

• Marks: Gorham hallmarks (lion, anchor, G), “STERLING”, pattern number 1575, and date letter “M”

• Condition: Very good antique condition – light surface wear consistent with age, no monogram
