Description

Heavy Antique 18ct Gold Turquoise Gypsy Ring c1899. This is a wonderful quality gypsy ring with three natural light sky blue turquoise showing only small amount of matrix, the central turquoise is 5 x3.5mm and the two outer 3mm x 2mm - of of excellent colour. These are interspersed by two small old cut diamonds one cushion cut the other round. Total diamond weight is 0.10ct. The rich 18ct gold band is quite 'chunky' and thick to wear. It has a really great shape to it tapering from 6mm at its widest point and 4mm at smallest point. This band is in good condition with some wear in accordance with age.. not resized. However one of the diamonds is chipped. The turquiose is in good condition and is not chipped but has some matrix showing. The ring is fully hallmarked for 18ct gold, Birmingham 1899 and the makers S.B & S.Ld which refers to S Blanckensee & Son Ltd of Birmingham. This ring would make a beautiful Antique wedding band, or a ring suitable for everyday wear. Ring Size UK T U.S 9 1/2 the total weight is a heavy 5.1g.
