Demi-tasse spoons originated in Europe alongside the rise of coffee culture in the 17th and 18th centuries, specifically designed smaller to stir espresso or small cups of black coffee.

These items are traditionally manufactured from sterling silver or silver plate, often featuring stamped or hallmarked shafts and presented in custom-fitted, velvet-lined presentation boxes.

Authentic pieces are identified by inspecting makers marks, metal purity hallmarks, weight, and the quality of the original fitted presentation case.

Vintage silver cutlery can be displayed within glass cabinets, incorporated into modern table settings for special occasions, or framed as a collection on a wall.

Preserve silver items by washing them gently in warm soapy water using a soft cloth, avoiding harsh abrasives, and storing them in tarnish-resistant cloth or fitted presentation boxes.
