Description

A rare sterling silver Victorian military campaign trivet or pan / kettle stand. It is hallmarked for London 1892 with the maker being Heath and Middleton. It has been superbly designed being hinged so it can be folded away. It would have been used to support something hot such as a pan or kettle away from a table. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It measures 3.75 inches (9.2cms) tall by approx. 4.5 inches across fully open. It weighs 96 grams. A rare and unusual item.
