Mid-century jewellery from the 1950s and 1960s often featured bold, oversized central gemstones surrounded by diamond clusters, reflecting post-war optimism and increased access to precious materials.

These rings typically feature natural beryl aquamarines paired with brilliant-cut diamonds, set within platinum, white gold, or yellow gold mountings depending on the specific decade.

Authentic pieces exhibit period-appropriate metalwork such as hand-fabricated settings, makers marks, traditional claw or basket settings, and signs of genuine age under magnification.

A statement piece like an aquamarine ring pairs well with minimalist contemporary outfits, allowing the historic gemstone and intricate diamond work to serve as the focal point.

Regular cleaning should be done using warm soapy water and a soft brush, avoiding harsh ultrasonic cleaners on treated or included stones, and storing the piece separately to prevent scratching.
