17th Century Carved Oak Coffer.

Description

A late 17th century oak coffer. The lid with moulded edge above a carved frieze, two diamond lozenge shaped carved panels with centre rose, all standing on tall legs which are a continuation of the stiles. Good colour and patina, there is an old repair between the two top boards (see photo) and the old pine floor is a replacement, otherwise a great coffer for the money! English or Welsh Circa 1690.
