From the top bar suspends a freely moving heart locket which has been meticulously hand engraved with the most splendid scrolled acanthus motifs which not only reflect light wonderfully but also displays the high level of goldsmithing and craftsmanship of the period.
Owing to its design, it can be worn on a variety of clothes whether be it a blouse for the summer or on a coat in the winter as a lapel/chest brooch.
The reverse side presents a glass back locket which can be unmounted to insert a photo.
