Rare American Sterling Silver Berry Sugar Sifter Spoon C1850 Antique

Description

A super quality rare American antique solid sterling silver sugar sifter spoon. It is hallmarked STERLING and I would date it to c1850-1860s. It has been beautifully made having a ornate gilded bowl decorated with a berries and the terminal has been engraved with the single initial D. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 6.75 inches (16.6cm) long by 2.5 inches (6.6cm) wide and weighs 34 grams. A very interesting piece.
