Very Rare and substantial Victorian brass chandelier. Heavily decorated with scrolls, foliage and 4 dragons. The overall design is heavy Gothic, with spires and finials, all with applied foliage. Each side has 2 dragons, with wings out spread and long curling tails with fine detail. There are 5 globe shades, each dragon has one underneath and there is a central drop globe. To the lower centre there is a wide reticulated "Gothic" circular brass lightshade holder. This is fitted with a rare high quality (heavy) arts and crafts large frosted glass bowl. The shape of the lamp is wide at the bottom and cascades down from a central column.

The chandelier is constructed from solid brass and extremely heavy (circa 40 Kg). It requires a 'heavy duty' joist fixing to safely secure to the ceiling (the chandelier bolt is present). It has working wiring as shown in the photos. There are a couple of aged related repairs to the brass. A stunning statement piece.
Measurements:
Height: 53 1/2 inches (136 cm)
Width: 41 inches (105 cm) [3ft without glass shades]
The dragons are 7 1/2 inches tall (18cm)
